There is no better feeling than when your friends asked you to photograph them. It's truly an honor. It's a feeling that I can't explain. I think it makes me feel like they trust me enough to photograph one of the most important moments in their lives. This elegant, urban engagement session in Downtown Atlanta is even more stunning than we could imagined.
So, when Nhat asked Justin about engagement session, we were ecstatic. As a destination wedding photographer, you know that we LOOOOVEEE weddings. But, when it comes to our friends' weddings, we are SUPER DUPER 10X MORE EXCITED for their weddings.
Nhat and Lisa met at church when they're in high school. Lisa was leading The Bible Study and she vividly remember that Nhat was at the back and answered one of her questions. And like other relationships, there is ups and downs. After a few years, they decided to give it a shot when she went to Chicago for school. So, long distance it is.
They visit each other all the time. And finally one day, when Nhat surprised Lisa in Chicago. He planned a beautiful proposal with the Chicago Downtown skyline as their backdrop. He got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. And SHE SAID YES. Woohoo!

Once we got to Downtown Atlanta, we went to park on the street near the exact location for their engagement session. Since I've scouted the area before, we knew where to park right away.
It was the perfect weather for a February urban engagement session in Downtown Atlanta considering it was snowing and cloudy the day before!
We had a lot of fun doing Nhat + Lisa's urban engagement session in Downtown Atlanta. With Lisa's chic white dress from Theory and Nhat's outfit from J. Crew, we know that this engagement session in Downtown Atlanta would be perfect for a magazine cover :)
After we finished from the first location, we found another location for something a little bit more casual. So, we took them to a coffee shop not too far from the engagement session location in Downtown Atlanta.
